Atom Reps drop another one at home
The Fairfield Park Atom Reps hosted Strathroy at home on Oct. 5th and lost 5-2.
Wallaceburg got off to a slow start in the first period and found themselves down 3-0 to a strong Strathroy team that came to play. Connor Debot got things going in the second period with a goal on a nice pass from Cameron Hazzard and Ty Myers. Strathroy countered with another goal on the power play to go up 4-1. Tyler Cadotte took things into his own hands on a bad Strathroy line change skating end to end and blasted a shot over the goalies shoulder to make it 4-2. Just before the end of the second Strathroy lit the lamp again making it 5-2 and that is how the game would end. The third period was back and forth with neither team scoring. Great saves by Matthew Pickering earning him the hard hat award. Next action will be Tuesday Oct 8th in Dorchester.
