Atom Reps post first win
The Fairfield Park Atom Reps posted the first win of the season Saturday at home against the Mooretown Storm.
Taylor Mader started where he left off on Tuesday night, opening the scoring on a feed from Ethan McLachlin and Lucas Knight at the 3 minute mark of the first period. Wallaceburg's strong defensive play kept Mooretown off the board and minimized their chances for the rest of the period. Early in the second period Connor Debot kept his great start going on a pass from Connor Lubbers and Tyler Cadotte. Debot wasn't done there as he scored again in the third on an amazing pass to the slot from Lubbers. Connor Debot completed the hat trick midway through the 3rd on a pass from Brett Wadsworth and Ashton Shipman. With a 4-0 lead late in the third Wallaceburg looked poised for the easy victory, but Mooretown came storming back with 3 unanswered goals to make a game of it. Matthew Pickering stood tall between the pipes and came up with some big saves throughout the game. Another great team effort by all and our next game is in Mount Brydges on Tuesday night!!!
