GAME 19 VS. MOORETOWN BLACK
After a long holiday break the Subway Peewee Tri-county teams gets back on the ice looking to keep their undefeated regular season intact.

Not having played a game in over two weeks it was unclear what kind of performance the Peewee TC1 team would give.  Once the 1st period began in was evident that the both teams came out to play; although Wallaceburg had the edge in shots on net Mooretown seemed to be a little more aggressive in their skating.  It took the better part of the period before a goal was scored by Wallaceburg's Caiden Leach-Desangher, assisted by Adam Atkins.  Shortly after Zander Cogghe from Josh Snelgrove made it 2-0 for Wallaceburg, but not going away Mooretown scored one of their own with under a minute to play.

In the 2nd period Wallaceburg seemed to get their legs a little more and both teams matched up well again with shots favouring Wallaceburg 7-4.  Once again they were able to put two goals by the Mooretown net-minder both again coming from Leach-Desangher and Cogghe.

With the start of the 3rd Wallaceburg looked poised to go onto their 18th win especially after Ty Myers put one on the scoreboard just over a minute in but a resilient Mooretown team had a different idea.  Showing that they have improved since the beginning of the season the Mooretown Black team came right back with a goal of their own and weren't done there.  Both teams traded goals for the rest of the 3rd scoring a total of 9 goals in the final frame!  Mooretown managed to outshoot Wallaceburg in the period 13-6 but luckily for Wallaceburg they managed to get four of the nine goals giving them a 8-6 win.  Kudos to Mooretown for a great game, this was the first time all season that Wallaceburg allowed more than 4 goals in a game.

Once again Wallaceburg showed a great offensive game but afterwards the coaches enforced the importance of a defensive team game outside of the offensive zone especially leading into the playoffs.  Many positives in the game by a few players including Tymmiecka Johnson-Greenbird and a shared "player of the game" by Ethan Burfiled and Quinlan Fields.  On the game sheet tonight: Zander Cogghe (3G), Caiden Leach-Desangher (2G,1A), Ty Myers (2G,1A), Josh Snelgrove (1G), Ewan MacDonald (2A), Adam Atkins (1A), Aiden Latimer (1A), Quinlan Fields (1A).
