Game 20 vs. West Lorne Gold
After a fun weekend tournament away the Subway Peewee #1 team was anxious to get back on the ice against West Lorne Gold and cap off their Regular season with a win and an undefeated record.

Before the game the coaches reminded the team that it was just another game and how important it was to get a good, quick start and control the game throughout.  In just under three minutes their first goal was scored by Josh Snelgrove who was set up out front by a beautiful pass from Zander Cogghe from the side of the net - something this duo has done all year.  Also getting in on the 1st period action was Ty Myers who snuck one over the line assisted by Caiden Leach-Desangher and Tymmiecka Johnson-Greenbird.

In the 2nd period West Lorne got on the board under two minutes in when a puck that appeared to not cross the line was called a goal, nonetheless Wallaceburg had a short memory. They continued to battle and regained the momentum when Ewan MacDonald scored back to back goals at the twelve & five minute marks; both goals were assisted by his wingers Josh Snelgrove and Zander Cogghe.

Going into the 3rd period up 4-1 the Lakers continued to control the game and managed to add two more goals less than a minute apart near the end of the period.  The first scored from the point by defenseman Caleb Tulloch, assisted by Quinlan Fields and the last by Josh Snelgrove unassisted and capping off a 4pt night.  With Wallaceburg keeping the shots to a minimum starting goaltender Macky wasn't very busy but was solid when he had too.  Seeing some ice late in the game was goaltender Caden O'Leary who came up with a few big saves before one squeezed by him on a great rush by West Lorne.  With under a minute to go it was evident that the team's regular season was going to end with A 6-2 win and an undefeated record of 19 Wins, 0 Losses and 1 Tie - an amazing win completed by great teamwork!  Although he didn't crack the game sheet our "Player of the Game" Chain went to Aiden Latimer for his aggressive fore-checking and skating.  The team now looks to the playoffs where they hope to follow up their regular season success - GREAT WORK TEAM!
