PLAYOFFS - GAME #2
A week ago Friday the Wallaceburg Subway Peewee team suffered a loss in their first playoff game.  Not only did they lose the game but they lost their starting goalie to an injury.

On Friday night they faced the first of many challenges against the Dresden Maroon team.  They had to rebound from the loss and do it with the help of their AP goalie (Caden O'Leary) and a player turned goalie (Ross Broadbent).

Wallaceburg got off to a great start scoring 2 goals in the first two minutes of the 1st.  Dresden came back with one of their own and right away it looked like it was going to be a shootout.  By the end of the period Dresden managed to out shoot Wallaceburg (unofficially) 8-6 but Ross Broadbent turned away enough to let Wallaceburg come out of the period with a lead of 4-2.

The 2nd period was almost a mirror image of the 1st period with Wallaceburg scoring 2 goals in under two minutes and a third goal half way through to make it 7-2.  Dresden battle back and scored one shortly after to make it 7-3.  In an effort to get the other goalie (Caden O'Leary) in the net, Wallaceburg made a change.  Dresden continued their attack and were able to put 2 quick goals by the relief goalie and closed the gap at 7-5.  Within seconds Wallaceburg charged in the Dresden end and added another goal to go up by three heading into the 3rd period.

Five minutes into the period both teams traded goals and shortly after Wallaceburg added their 10th goal to make it 10-6 which would eventually be the final.  On a night were the Wallaceburg team needed the offensive support they got it and enough to get the win.  A quick start and aggressive play on the puck attributed to the win.

With a great team effort that showed on the score sheet, 11 of 14 Wallaceburg players managed points.  Captain Caiden Leach-Desangher lead the way with (3G, 2A) earning special mention but by stepping up in the net and sharing the Player of the Game Chain were goalies Ross Broadbent & Caden O'Leary.  Rest of the game sheet points went to: Josh Snelgrove (2G,1A), Adam Atkins (1G, 3A), Zander Cogghe (1G, 1A), Quinlan Fields (1G), Ty Myers (1G), Ewan MacDonald (1G), Holden MacDonald (2A), Tymmiecka Johnson-Greenbird (2A), Ethan Burfield (1A) and Garet Vandendool (1A).
