PLAYOFFS - GAME #3
After a back and forth game on Friday night which ended with a win, the Wallaceburg Subway Peewee team travelled to Petrolia Monday night looking to build off the momentum.

Unfortunately for Wallaceburg they didn't have the same start and luck they had Friday night against Dresden.  In the 1st period the Petrolia team attacked quickly and put Wallaceburg on their heels scoring 2 goals a few minutes in and adding another one with a few minutes left.  Wallaceburg managed to keep the shots close and were able to get a little life with under a minute to go in the frame making it a 3-1 score.

In the 2nd period Wallaceburg looked to build of the late period goal but Petrolia proved to be too much. They kept their foot on the gas and outshot Wallaceburg unofficially by a count of 17-3.  Standing tall and only allowing two more goals was Ross Broadbent.  Once again Wallaceburg added a late period goal to breathe a little life back into what seemed to a defeated team.

To start the 3rd period Wallaceburg made a goalie change and put Caden O'Leary in the net, whether it was this or the late goal in the 2nd the team came out battling in the 3rd.  On a nice faceoff win straight to the point, Ty Myers buried one to make it 5-3.  Shortly after that Wallaceburg pinned Petrolia deep in their end and eventually added another then minutes later Wallaceburg took advantage of a Power Play and tied the game making it 5-5.  With both teams back in it, it became a dog fight battling back and forth until eventually Petrolia took the lead with four minutes to go on a goal that made it past a screened goalie.  This proved to be enough as Wallaceburg was unable to tie it back up, giving Petrolia a 6-5 win.

Once again a slow start overshadowed a gutsy 3rd period rally against a Petrolia team who wanted it a little more.  Wallaceburg saw glimpses of teamwork and good passing but fell short of a full team effort.  The team now looks ahead to a tough Mooretown Red team on Friday back at home.  On the game sheet tonight: Adam Atkins (2G, 1A), Zander Cogghe (1G, 1A), Ty Myers (1G), Caleb Tulloch (1G), Quinlan Fields (2A), Josh Snelgrove 1(A), Ethan Burfield (1A), Aiden Latimer (1A) and Caiden Leach-Desangher (1A).
