GAME 16 VS. W'BURG #2
Tuesday night saw a match up of the two Peewee Tri-county teams, their second of the year.

Just like their last matchup the Subway Peewee team (TC#1) got off to a sluggish start and couldn't match the intensity of the TC#2 team.  Team #2 was able to pin #1 in their end for most of the period and majority of the game.  Fortunately for team #1 they managed to keep the shots close and were able to score with minutes to go in the first.   A great play created by a nice centering pass to the front of the net and put in by Zander Cogghe (assisted by Caiden Leach-Desnagher and Josh Snelgrove).

In the 2nd period both teams matched each other a little more and traded chances on almost the same amount of shots, but still #2 managed to keep the puck in the offensive end more than #1.  Late in the period a good shot from the point by defenseman Ethan Burfield was tipped in nicely by Quinlan Fields.  Shortly after #2 scored to make it a 2-1 game going into the 3rd.

In the final frame #1 had their best period and were able to outshoot #2, but only 9-7.  They managed to put the game out of reach in the bottom half of the 3rd scoring 2 more goals; one by Garet Vandendool on a great shot form the right faceoff circle and Ty Myers from the side boards after a burst of speed off the right wing.

The 4-1 final didn't reflect how well both teams matched up; team #2 deserved a closer result on the scoreboard based on their play and bounces that went in favour of team #1.  Team #1 managed to capitalize on the chances they got but the coaches stressed the importance to play more aggressive and protect their own end.  Our goalie and defenseman were the stars of the game with great performances.  "Player of the Game" Chain goes to Ethan Burfield for a well played all around game.  Game sheet points: Quinlan Fields (1G,1A), Zander Cogghe (1G), Garet Vandendool (1G), Ty Myers (1G), Caiden Leach-Desangher (1A), Josh Snelgrove (1A), Ethan Burfield (1A), Caleb Tuloch (1A) and Holden MacDonald (1A).
