Games 14 vs. West Lorne & 15 vs. Dresden
The Aarkel Bantam Lakers had a successful weekend of hockey gaining two more tallies for the win column to bring their overall season record to 14-1-0.

The first game found them traveling to West Lorne on Saturday afternoon to face the Comets.  The beginning of this game saw the Lakers a little off key and with West Lorne playing a tight game it made for an interesting and even battle through two periods of play.  Wallaceburg did manage to put one on the board five minutes into the 2nd on a breakaway from Jackson Oliver who was fed by a beautiful pass from Connor Ruttan.

In the 3rd period the Comets were awarded a penalty shot after one of their players was hauled down to prevent a breakaway.  They made good on the shot and tied the game at 1 a piece.  Wallaceburg managed to get their legs from that point and put together a solid 3rd period.  Two minutes after the West Lorne goal defenseman Caleb Tulloch went end to end only to be tripped up and drew a penalty.  However, before the play was over the puck bounced off the end boards right to Caleb and he bounced the puck off the goalie into the net to nullify the penalty and give Wallaceburg a 2-1 lead and win.  3 Stars: Ethan Burfield, Aiden "Macky" Mac Donald and Aiden Latimer - who was also voted "Player of the Game".

On Sunday night it was back to Wallaceburg for a home game vs. the Dresden Jr. Kings.  These teams haven't faced each other since the first game of the year which Wallaceburg got the best of the Kings.  Before the game the Wallaceburg coaches were looking for the team to get back to unselfish team play and for the most part that's what they did.  Once again Wallaceburg was able to dominate Dresden and found themselves on the end of a 9-0 win and outshooting Dresden unofficially 44-11.  3 Stars: Quinlan Fields, Kaiden Petranik and Ross Broadbent - who was also voted "Player of the Game".

Zander Cogghe - 1 G 3A
