Tyke Fun Festival

Festival Rules:

  • Have fun!

  • All referees decisions are final.

  • Games will consist of one period. Total time is 40 minute run time.

  • Players will line change at the buzzer every two minutes continuous run time.

  • Tyke off-sides will be an arm’s length at the referee’s discretion (no cherry picking).

  • All players on the bench must play.

  • Please be ready and on time for each event to allow for us to stay on schedule.

  • Lunch will be served from 11:00am – 1:00pm in the upstairs mezzanine. All players and coaches will be given a ticket for their luncheon which can be found in this package.

  • Penalties assessed for two minute duration for intentional checking, tripping, and slashing. Automatic ejection for fighting. Teams play full strength during penalties.

  • Scorekeepers will stop counting goals after a 5 goal lead on the scoreboard.

     

     

    CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS

  • I will do my best to be a GOODSPORT at all times. I will not defend or engage in actions, on or off the ice, which are not consistent with good sportsmanship.

  • I will play and compete for my own enjoyment, as well as, for my own team.

  • I will have fun, make friends, improve my skills, and play safely.

  • I will learn, understand, and respect the rules of the game.

  • I will respect the rights and consider the safety of other players, coaches, trainers, officials, administrators, volunteers and parents.

     

    CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS

  • I will do my best to be a GOODSPORT at all times. I will never condone, permit, defend, or engage in actions on or off the ice, which are not consistent with good sportsmanship.

  • I will encourage my child to do his or her best, have fun, and demonstrate good sportsmanship.

  • I will teach my child how to win and lose gracefully. I will lead by example.

  • I will assist my child to understand and respect the rules of the game. I will encourage my child to remember that he or she is part of a team, and work for the good of the team.

  • I will respect the rights and feelings of the officials, trainers, players, volunteers, and administrators. I will work to support, not undermine, their efforts.

     

    CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COACHES

  • I will do my best to be a GOODSPORT at all times. I will not defend, or engage in actions on or off the ice, which are not consistent with good sportsmanship.

  • I will communicate with players, officials, trainers, volunteers, and administrators honestly, generously, fairly, with integrity and respect.

  • I will set attainable goals for the team and individual players while encouraging safety and fun for everyone.

  • I will work continuously to learn more about the game and to improve my coaching skills.

  • I will lead by example, and respect the rules of the game.
