Novice Girls 2018 WOGHL Division 4 Finalists
Congratulations to the Girls Novice Team who are the 2018 Division 4 Finalists!

It was a hard fought series between Wallaceburg and Belmont. Saturday's bout was a exciting game, with our girls doing their best to push the series back to Belmont for a third and final game. But in the end Belmont's scoring power was too much for our defensive squad.

The girls played some gritty playoff hockey including an exciting home and home battle against Stratford that saw Wallaceburg take 3 of 4 points to surge ahead of them to earn their berth in the league finals.

The story of their season has been one of constant improvement, and never giving up.  These girls responded time and time again to over come a deficit or to hang on to a small lead.  Whether it was a great save, strong defensive play or a timely goal, every girl on the team had their moment(s) to make a contribution to the team's success.

A huge thanks to our coaching staff; Head Coach Lisa Coats, Assistant Coaches Mere Scott, Steve Olah and Matt Trella; and Trainer Grace VanHeck.  Your vision, instruction and leadership brought the best out of our hockey players!

Thanks girls for playing your hearts out!
