     WMHA 50/50 Raffle FAQ

1. Where is the money raised from this raffle going?
Funds raised by this raffle will assist us in our ongoing efforts to keep minor hockey accessible and affordable for families. Funds will also be directed to replacing our championship banners and jerseys/equipment damaged in the 2019 arena fire.

2. What is Rafflebox?
Rafflebox is the company administering the raffle for WMHA. They are an approved provider through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

3. How are tickets sold?
Tickets are available online at wmha5050.com and you will be re-directed to the Rafflebox sales page.  We may sell tickets at local events in the future.

4. How does it work?
After registering with WMHA and paying in full Rafflebox loads the player name to the ticket sales page. The player name is added to our list of players on the sales page and anyone in Ontario (18 or older) can purchase tickets in support of your player.

5. What if I’m seeking third party funding from JumpStart, All-For-Kids, WIFN, or RAMA?
Simply register with WMHA online and when completed email [email protected] and we will provide you with details.

6. Where does the money go?
50% of the money goes to the winners, 20% goes to WMHA, 20% goes to the individual players, and 10% or less goes to the administration, licensing fees, etc.

7. What is in it for me?
You receive 20% of the total ticket sales sold in support of your player to a maximum of free registration for the 2021-2022 season. For example if your player has $1000 in ticket sales you will receive $200 refunded to you at the end of the raffle (assuming your out of pocket costs were $200 or more). In addition, the ticket sales supporting your player also supports the entire organization helping us keep registration costs down.

8. Do I need to sell tickets?
No, there is no need to actively sell tickets. We expect members of the public across Ontario to purchase tickets in support of players. If you chose not to take advantage of this opportunity to reduce registration costs please contact [email protected] and we will remove your player from the in support of page.

9. What are the key dates?
Early bird draws are the first day of the month from August – December.
Mega-Jackpot draw is December 24.
