Congratulations to our selected coaches! Your dedication, leadership, and enthusiasm for the game will play a vital role in guiding our Lady Lakers both on and off the ice. Strong coaches behind the bench are essential to building confidence, teamwork, and a positive experience for our athletes. We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and heart that our coaches invest in developing our players and strengthening our organization.

Tryout Registration for OWHA and OMHA teams will open on April 1!

Girls interested in the U9 Interest Skate, are asked to register using this link.
Tryouts for the U9 age group will take place in the Fall.
Important Information Regarding OWHA Tryouts:
- WMHA will be hosting tryouts/skates for all OWHA divisions in the spring.
- Tryout preparation skates will be held for each age group. Players should attend the prep skate for the division they will be moving into for this upcoming season. These prep skates are only open to current WMHA players intending to tryout. Please refer to the WMHA website for specific dates and times.
- All OWHA teams will have tryouts/skates between April 24-May 2. U9’s will have OWHA interest skates during this same period. Families are asked to closely monitor the website calendar for specific times and locations.
- To be eligible for tryouts, all players must be registered and have their tryout fee paid in full prior to stepping on the ice. The tryout fee for the 2026–2027 season is $60 per player. U9 OWHA interest skates will be $10 per skate. Registration will open on April 1, 2026.
- Any player who previously played for another OWHA association must have a “Permission to Skate” form completed before attending a tryout/skate. This form must be signed by a designated executive member of the player’s current association. The completed form must be submitted to the new association before the player is allowed on the ice.
- No players will be released until after the second scheduled tryout.
- Full equipment is mandatory for all tryouts. This includes all standard hockey gear as well as neck guards and mouth guards.
· If a player is selected for a team, the family will be sent a letter of commitment.
They must be signed and returned to confirm their spot.
- All coaching decisions regarding player evaluation and selection are final.Final team sizes and composition will be determined at the discretion of the WMHA Executive Board. WMHA will have final jurisdiction over the appeal process.
New for the 2026–2027 season: all goalie registrations for U11 and above will be offered at half price. The discounted portion will be reimbursed after the goalie completes the full season in that position.
