NO REF, NO GAME- Please support us in respecting our Refs!
With over 90,000 athletes, the OMHA has introduced the new green arm band for minor referees with the goal of supporting Referee and Official Abuse.
This year, officials 18 and under will be encouraged to wear the green arm band as a reminder to parents, fans, coaches and players to respect and support them. Without our officials, there will be no game. We want to promote as many youth to continue engaging with the sport that we all love. It becoming increasingly challenging to fill referee positions based on the countless negative interactions they face while in their role. We can put an end to this!
Wallaceburg Minor Hockey is committed to supporting all Referees and Officials both on and off the ice. We have a zero tolerance policy for spectators and coaching staff who abuse our officials. Please join us as we embrace a new season of hockey, and celebrate the youth who have stepped up, the veterans who continue to mentor them, and the officials, who because of their commitment to our game, allow us to continue playing this great game of hockey.
