Hockey Restart & More
Hi Lakers Families,

We're excited to get back to the arena beginning January 31st when we will continue where we left off with our Covid19 protocols including the requirement for vaccination QR Codes for all patrons 12 and up. Please follow your team calendar on the website - this is especially important as we return with many teams moving to playoffs / playdowns where scheduling changes come at us a little more often.

Coming up...

We're finalizing our second round of skills development camps in February - updates coming soon!

The deadline for the Kruger Big Assist Nominations is January 31st. Thanks to those who nominated us and we hope to have more people consider submitting a nomination...we've got a lot of great things happening at WMHA. We're hoping you can consider these while taking a few moments for the nomination.

Hockey Moms again have a few new offerings coming up on the Lakers online store - We love seeing all the Lakers sporting their swag and we're sure you'll love what's coming next! Thanks to our hockey moms who are doing an amazing job!!

Finally, thanks to everyone submitting pics for our ODR contest on Facebook and congrats to our winners who've scored gift cards to local businesses and restaurants. It's important we support our local businesses - we hope you consider shopping local especially with the restrictions many of our small businesses currently face.

We love seeing the pics of our players staying active and getting ready to hit the rink on Monday! See you then!!

Sponsors
Sentry Fire
Sentry Fire is a company specializing in fire protection and safety services, offering equipment, inspections, and emergency preparedness solutions. They have shown strong community support by providing First Aid kits to all team trainers in minor hockey, helping ensure the safety and well-being of young athletes on and off the ice.
Tim Horton's
Timbits Minor Sports Program The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games. Timbits players are also given the opportunity to play in their own "Timbits Jamboree", a fun-filled Tim Hortons sponsored event where everyone receives a prize, food and beverages.
