Return to Play! March 1
Hello Lakers,

We hope everyone is staying warm and healthy during the beginning of 2021!  The WMHA Board has recently met to discuss options to return our Lakers to the Ice for the remainder of the Season. After careful discussion we have voted to give our players an opportunity to Return to Hockey activities by March 1.

It is WMHA's number one priority to keep our players safe while providing them an opportunity to play the Sport we Love.
We have put trust in the safety precautions that have been outlined by OHF, OMHA, OWHA and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. WMHA Hockey Activities are set to resume on March 1 after we collect data from our membership to help us plan the remainder of the season.  (See Form Link Below)
There is a possibility we will return to play while still under Red Covid Colour Level.  We have hopes that we will transition to  Orange or better in the coming weeks. Regardless of our colour code we are prepared to operate hockey activities within approved precautionary measures.

If we operate under a Red Level, we will be restricted to groups of a maximum of 10 players, and minimum of 2 on-ice Coaches or Trainers.  One Parent/Guardian per Family will be permitted in the arena.  Red Level Precautions will ristruct use of dressing rooms and players will have to come fully dressed. 10 Players on the Ice will give a unique opportunity for enhanced development and drill repetitions.

Once we transition to a Level Orange or better we will continue the season with similar programing format used prior to the December 24 Shutdown.

The intent is to keep Players in similar Groups / Cohorts they were in prior to Dec 24. Depending on the participation levels there may be some shuffling of players to accommodate restrictions.
To help us plan, Please complete the Required March 2021 Return to Hockey On-line form prior to Tues Feb 23 11:00 pm.  This form can be accessed in link below or in our Risk Management Section of Website at any time.
