UPDATED..... INFORMATION AND TEAM LISTS

Hello Lakers,

We have made it through our 2 week period of the first stage of our Return-to-Play Plan. Everyone has done an amazing job respecting each other, respecting the rules, and keeping everyone safe.  Thank you to all of our Lakers for your continued cooperation.
We are ready to transition to the next stage of our Return-to-Play.  With that, we are excited to announce that OMHA players have been split into equal groups for the intent if practices and an Internal WMHA Tournament.  The Tournament style Challenge will consist of weekly "Game Style" controlled 3 on 3 scrimmages until the final Championship round in each division.

Please see the Link Below to view the New Groups for the Weekly Games And Practices (UPDATED)

2020_Internal_Challenge_Cohort_List_v2.pdf

Groups in effect as of October 19.

We will remain in these Groups for Controlled Scrimmages until Tournament style schedule is competed.  The intent of the Challenge is to enjoy some healthy competition, get a good work out, and have some fun until other Centres are comfortable expanding their bubble.

There will be a Trophy awarded to the winning group at the end of the Challenge before we move into the next phase.

Practices groups will be addressed in two weeks as we assess the effectiveness of development in each Cohort.

GOALIES: In Peewee, Bantam, Midget : Goalies will be rotated between teams for practice and Scrimmages.

For some added fun, there will be a monthly Draw for a Prize from our hockey Moms.  Each player will be credited  a ballot for each Practice Attended and a chance to win the monthly prize during this stage of our Return-To-Play.

Coaches are listed for Team, and Additional Volunteers are needed and encouraged to contact the Coach of the Tournament team if you'd like to contribute.

Please contact Mason Kraayenbrink - [email protected]  with any additional questions or to volunteer

Plans for OWHA Girls groups are still in the works and will be updated soon. The WMHA Board is addressing the best way to work with the numbers of OWHA Girls currently registered.

All Current COVID Protocols remain the same.  We are looking forward to having some Fun and continuing to develop our Lakers so we are ready to Play Traditional Hockey as soon as possible.
