ICE UPDATE Sept 10
Hello all WMHA Families, Fans, and Friends.  There has been much speculation lately about the availability of ice for our association to use once the season begins.
We want to assure all effected families that the WMHA Board has had several official meetings, and has been working tirelessly each night to secure ice for the season.  As we all know the Covid Pandemic brings us all new challenges everyday, and we have made every effort to react to changing protocols and expectations from our hockey and municipal partners

There has been extra challenges lately in getting a solid commitment from Chatham-Kent on when Ice will be ready to use. WMHA is Wallaceburg Memorials Arena's single largest tenant and feels our involvement in securing ice will benefit the entire community, even those who rely on ice outside our association.  We have concentrated focus on getting ice commitments solidified from our local arena.  We encourage the entire community to get involved by reaching out to our Wallaceburg councillors and express the importance of opening the arena as soon as possible.
Please do so in a respectful, productive, and professional manner so that our councillors can use your story to influence Chatham-Kent Council.
Please see the attached Letter that was sent to both Aaron Hall, and Carmen McGregor on behalf of WMHA President and Board Members.

There is a scheduled Virtual Council meeting on September 14. We expect to have an answer back from council on the plan for our arena following that date. Regardless of the outcome we work to make sure our players get on local Ice ASAP.
If you have any direct questions for WMHA please send emails to Shane Fraleigh - [email protected]
Thank you for all your understanding and support.
