WMHA Return To Play Update #2
After careful consideration and meaningful discussion during recent WMHA board meetings we are pleased to announce that Wallaceburg Minor Hockey has voted to participate in the OHF Return To Play Phase 3B. We have intentions to move forward with options to get our players back on the ice by the week of Sept 28.

Online Registrations to date have given us a ballpark idea of the numbers we can book and allocate ice for.  To further refine our data and solidify plans we require an emailed confirmation on behalf of each player to make intentions known of your player participation status in the 2020-2021 season. If you intend to participate in a funding assistance program, please confirm funding is available. If you have already registered you must still email your intent to play or not. After August 31 if you have not emailed and signed up you will be put on a waiting list. OWHA online is not up. So girls if you wish to play this year please email your intent on playing or there will be a waiting list as well.

Initially we will not be playing games againt other centers, but are working to change that soon. Again the Phase 3B criteria is outlined in link below. As pandemic protocols improve, and local govement allows we will tranistion to each of the next stages as soon as it is pratical.  Parent and gaurdian involment will largely depend on which arena your player will be at. This will continue to evolve and WMHA will make all efforts to schedule Ice Times in such a way to allow parental engagment whenever possible.
Our Goal is to get our players safely back on the Ice, and beging the process to work towards a traditional hockey model when it is both Safe and permitted to do so.
