Midget Hockey Update
As of today WMHA has commitments from 46 players - all registrants will have a place to play.

The current plan will be:
Midget Rep
Minor Midget
Midget Tri County.

The executive feels that this will provide the opportunity for all of our players to compete.

Minor Midget Try-outs will commence first. If your player was born in 1998 she/he is not eligible for this team. Midget Rep will have their try-outs at the conclusion of the minor Midget team - all players born in 1998, 1999, and 2000 may attend these try-outs. Midget Tri-County will skate after these try-outs are complete.

Current coaches are:

Minor Midget = Ric VanCollie
Midget Rep = Rob Knight
Midget TC = Looking for volunteers :) if you are interest please respond to April Blanchard and Lucas Morse.

Conditioning camp and try-out information is on the WMHA website.

There are 6 players that are not entitled to skate at conditioning camp or Try-outs  until their jerseys from last season are returned.
#6 red
#9 Red and White
#12 red and White
#14 red and white
#17 red and white
#20 red and white

Please note - as a result of all the complications encountered having jerseys returned  this past season , all coaches have been reminded that they are responsible to ensure all jerseys are returned at seasons end. As such they will be looking for a parent volunteer to collect and transport jersey to each and every game . These jerseys are a valuable asset to minor Hockey  and cannot be replaced on a seasonal basis .

Failure to return jerseys will result in suspensions until the association receives the jerseys back or cash payment is received of $100.00 per jersey.

Reminder Parents - as part of your child's registration  you have agreed to ensure that your child's jersey is returned in good condition and if not are subject to replacement of such equipment.

No Sandals at the rink in the hallways or dressing rooms:)

See you all at the rink very soon.

Tim Horton's
Timbits Minor Sports Program The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games. Timbits players are also given the opportunity to play in their own "Timbits Jamboree", a fun-filled Tim Hortons sponsored event where everyone receives a prize, food and beverages.
