Great turnout for Drive for a Cause Event
Lots of WMHA supporters and Chevy/GM fans were out yesterday for the Drive for A Cause event held at Riverview.  While the final results are still to come the feeling is that the event was a huge success!  Lots of people got a chance to drive a beautiful new Chevy car, SUV or Truck and help WMHA at the same time!

Thanks to everyone that came out to drive, Riverview GM, the Hockey Moms, everyone that provided baked goods for sale and the volunteers that organized, set up and cleaned up after. Especially Kelly Trella!

The results of the final donation to WMHA from Riverview will be posted as soon as possible.

Timbits Minor Sports Program The Timbits Minor Sports Program is a community-oriented sponsorship program for children four to eight years old who participate in local house league sports teams. The program's philosophy is not based on winning or losing - but on learning a new sport, making new friends, and just taking time out to be a kid. Tim Hortons currently sponsors over 200,000 children who play on hockey, soccer, lacrosse, t-ball, baseball and ringette teams across Canada and in the United States. Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts. Timbits hockey teams are often given the opportunity to play on-ice scrimmages during intermissions at Junior, American Hockey League (AHL) and National Hockey League (NHL) games. Timbits players are also given the opportunity to play in their own "Timbits Jamboree", a fun-filled Tim Hortons sponsored event where everyone receives a prize, food and beverages.

It provides up to $500 in funding and access to exclusive hockey benefits to novice-level hockey teams across Canada. The goal of Dodge Caravan Kids is to help enrich the game of hockey for participating coaches, players and their families, and represents one of FCA Canada's key community efforts.
