24th Annual Mark Weese Memorial
Tyke Fun Festival
The Wallaceburg Minor Hockey Association would like to extend our warmest welcome to all participants, parents, guardians, grandparents, friends, and coaches. Our goal is to provide all participants with a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience during the Annual Mark Weese Memorial Tyke Fun Festival.
The tournament in years past has been known as the Tyke Fun Day. After the tragic death of Mark Weese on June 15th, 1992, the minor hockey officials renamed this festival in memory of Mark. Along with this great honour, the caring and kind people also retired Mark’s Wallaceburg Jr. Lakers Blue Tyke Sweater located in our upstairs mezzanine.
The Weese Family and the WMHA would like you to join us for fun, games, and your mixed team relay race/ obstacle course challenge.
While at the Fun Festival, please feel free to participate in some of the other activities that will be going on. Try your luck in the main lobby with our Raffle Table. There will also be 50/50 square draws. All draws will take place at 4:00pm. All draws allow for participants to leave a name and phone number so all winners have an opportunity to claim their prize/s. Winners will also be posted on our WMHA website: http://wallaceburghockey.com/.
I would like to give a special THANK YOU for graciously taking part in our tournament. I look forward to another successful festival.
Most importantly, the score is measured by the smiles and enjoyment of our young ones, not by the scoreboard. Each participant will receive a tournament medallion they can showcase to all in recognition of their hard work.
