Wallaceburg vs Southwest
Once again we were on the road as we traveled to take on the Southwest bullets. Well I hate to report but Wallaceburg finally lost their first game of the season. We knew Southwest was going to a tough opponent. Opening face off and Southwest took control of the game, no matter what we did nothing was going right but somehow skated away with a 0-0 tie at the end of the first. First half of the second period it was much of the same. Then the flood gates opened up and Southwest scored 4 scores under 10 minutes, it was like Wallaceburg wasn't even on the ice.
End of 2 score 4-1 Southwest. This was a different feeling going into the scrape, we have never trailed after 2. These kids needed a reminder who they are and how they can play. Well it seemed to work as we came out on fire. We controlled from the opening face off. Unfortunate we came up a little short with the score being 5-4.
If we played 3 periods like we did in the third I would not reporting a loss. The second half of our season is a heavy one as we play the top teams. We need to prove that we are number 1. Thats going to take a lot of hard work starting with practice tonight as we are back on the ice Monday against Mooretown 1 at home......keep work hard...proud of you guys
