GAME 18 VS. WEST LORNE GOLD
Saturday afternoon the Wallaceburg Subway Peewee team travelled to West Lorne to face the Gold team for the first time this season.

This would mark the 18th game of the regular season for Wallaceburg and an opportunity to stay undefeated going into the Christmas break.

The team was looking to build off the success they had Friday night but the Gold team was looking for success of their own and it showed. They battle hard in the first period and West Lorne managed to score first with a goal in just under 3 minutes.  Wallaceburg was able to out shoot West Lorne but they weren't able to make an progress on the score sheet until the end of the period when Josh Snelgrove scored with only 1.1 seconds left.

In the 2nd period Wallaceburg kept the pressure on and directed 12 shots towards the West Lorne goalie and scored two more goals only seconds apart off the sticks of Caiden Leach-Desangher and AP player Brodie Falconer.  Responsible line changes, hard back checking by our forwards and shut down defense allowed Wallaceburg to keep West Lorne at only 6 shots the whole game.  Ty Myers added another goal for Wallaceburg halfway through the 3rd period and West Lorne added a late goal but by then it was too late.  For his hustle, back-checking and team play Ty Myers earned the "player of the game" chain.

Wallaceburg held on to celebrate their 17th win of the regular season, a well deserved win by the whole team.  The team now enjoys a break from game play but can focus on some practices to prepare for our final 2 games and upcoming tournaments and playoffs.  Thanks to all the players, coaches and parents for a great season so far.  Have a safe and Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas!!
