Lakers lower the Flags
The Novice AE Lakers took on the Mooretown Jr. Flags Friday night in Wallaceburg.
Nash L. put up the first point by digging hard during a scramble in front of the net.
Before the end of the 2nd period the fans enjoyed seeing Austin M. make a sick pass across the ice to Garet V. who put it past the Mooretown Goalie before he could get across.
The G Men were in fine form again frustrating the Jr. Flags by stopping almost everything thrown at them. The G Men have allowed only one goal in 3 games. These guys are good! Of course, the defence was solid again and smothered many of the Flags advances.
Late in the 3rd period a Mooretown powerplay provided a chance of the Flags to tie it up but the Lakers penalty kill line was too much for them.
The Lakers hung on and marked another W with a 2-1 score.
Player of the game was Cameron M. with his great effort throughout the game.
