Welcome to the 2012-13 Season
First of all, congrats on making the Peewee Rep team this! The four of us including myself, Justin Vitek, Matt Feddes, and Matt Glover are looking forward to having a fun year with our new team and new group of parents. We will be updating the website often, this article being the first, so be sure to come on as often as you can to check for changes to the schedule, as well as upcoming team events and possibly stats and game results. There is also a feature where you can sign up to updates for your email or phone, so anytime a change is made to the schedule, or an article is posted, or game result is posted, it will go right to your email or phone. So look into that!
As I mentioned to the players, lets use every practice early on to learn how to do things right, and get better. As the season goes on, all the little things will get easier, and hopefully you notice yourself improving. So don't get frustrated early on.. Remember, hockey is supposed to be fun!
Parents, there have been 2 new developments since our parents meeting. The first, we are looking to get the ScotiaBank suite for the London Knights game, Friday November 2. The cost will be 23.50 per person, and an extra $10 for food to be included, which is recommended from what I hear. We can talk about this soon to see if there will be enough interest. The second development being another tournament. This one is in February, and is in Peterborough. It is also the only Ontario sanctioned tournament to be played completely outdoors, on the Trent Canal. I think it would be a pretty sweet experience for all of the players, and even the coaches and parents as well. So you can let me know your thoughts on this as well, and we will look into booking that.
